Northampton County Chapter, NSDAR, meets five times a year in the months of January, April, June, September, and October. If you are interested in attending a meeting or in becoming a member, please contact the registrar.
The chapter also plans and participates in many activities designed to further the goals and objectives of the National Society to preserve history, promote education, and foster patriotism.
Two DAR Good Citizens awards are given annually to local area high school seniors chosen for their exceptional essays on a given historic topic. American Flag classes are taught in five elementary schools.
Patriotism is further promoted through the support of the DAR Project Patriot Committee and participation in the Naturalization Court. Salute to Service is recognizing, supporting, and appreciating our first responders in all aspects of community service.
In preparation for the America 250 celebration, local patriots are being identified and gravesites located when possible.
